The 2023 New Year's Day float was a success with some two dozen paddlers, including three visitors from Friends of the Kaw, the local Sea Scout ship and various members of the Coalition spending some time on the water in downtown Wichita.
Due to the low water levels the float was confined to the pool between the put-in at Cowtown and the Lincoln Street dam and passage. Small ice flows added to the ambiance of floating on a clear cool day in January. Pics from Jon Marr are posted on the Ark River Coalition Face Book page. Thanks to Kevin Holman for organizing and leading this float.
